Head of English Language Department
Mr. Kenyi joined Yei Teacher Training College in 2013 as an English Language Education (ELE) tutor. He holds a bachelor’s degree of Education majoring in English language and Literature from Ndejje University in Uganda.
Before obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he had already obtained a diploma in secondary education from National Teachers college-Muni, certified by Kyambogo University. He acquired Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education from Metu Secondary School in 2001 and Uganda Certificate of Education from Monsignor Bala Secondary School in 1998 respectively.
Prior to joining YTTC, Kenyi was an English language teacher and a head of department in Fulla secondary school in Nimule from 2002 to 2003; immediately after completing his Advance Level. He then went for his diploma in education studies from 2003 to 2005 and went back to Fulla after completion. Later, he went for his bachelor’s studies in 2008 and completed in 2011.
Mr. Kenyi loves learning new skills; in YTTC he has been able to acquire basic computer skills. Now he is computer literate. He is also pursuing his master’s studies on Educational Quality in Developing Countries in Germany now, which has been made possible through his attachment to the college. More so, interacting with the students for all this period has improved his professional practices tremendously. These are major achievements since he joined YTTC and it makes him proud to be part of such a progressive institution that encourages and supports the capacity building of her staff through giving opportunities to up-grade.
He is married with children.
