Ms. Akulia Agnes is a Senior Researcher and the Head of Department for the College Research Desk. She joined Yei Teacher Training College in 2016 and has served the College community faithfully since then. She is also the Senior Woman tutor at the College providing a wide range of mentorship programmes for the young folks especially women who go through the College.

Akulia was trained at the Ugandan Prestigious Makerere University where she obtained her Bachelor Degree in Education. She enrolled in Makerere for the second time and graduated with a Master Degree in Women and Gender Studies. Most recently Akulia attended the AgaKhan University of East Africa in Tanzania emerging with another Master Degree in Education specializing in Leadership and Management.

Akulia has a passion for humanity and life-long learning. Her interests are teaching, administration, gender, research and advocacy. Growing up as an Orphan herself, she is particularly passionate about girl child education in the context of war, culture and modern technology.
